"When I look down at this golden statue, may it remind me and every little child that no matter where you're from, your dreams are valid" states Lupita Nyong'o, during her speech after winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

As many of you know, and probably watched, the Oscars 2014 was alive and kicking this weekend. You know what that means…beautiful gowns everywhere! Alongside some of our other favorites; Kristin Chenoweth in Roberto Cavalli and Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace, Lupita Nyong'o in Prada was by far one of our top favorite looks.

Playing the supporting role as Patsey in Steven McQueen's 12 Years A Slave, Lupita's first major film, Lupita has collected awards such as; Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female,NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actress and of course her most recent, the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

"It doesn’t escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is thanks to so much pain in someone else’s,” she said after quickly thanking the academy. “And so I want to salute the spirit of Patsey for her guidance. And for Solomon, thank you for telling her story and your own."
